Project Coaching
AVe is an association of volunteer experts. As such, it considers that success in today’s development projects in emerging countries, paves the way for future in these countries by contributing to to-morrow’s employment and by reducing migration flows for economic reasons
To this end, AVe’s volunteer expert team offers a coaching program to local sponsors of development project (whatever their status may be) tailored to each situation. It could involve either the creation of new activities or the development of already existing activities.
For each project, an expert with a matching profile
AVe can make available to the project sponsor an expert with skills and experience in the project field: agriculture, industry, services.
With continuity over time (12-month period minimal agreement), the AVe expert will be permanently in touch with the project sponsor. After an on-site intervention giving him an opportunity to take account of the project context, he will provide his support remotely, using up-to-date communication means (phone, email, Skype...).
Trust between the project sponsor and the AVe expert
The approach consists in building over time (possibly several years) a climate of trust between the project sponsor, who is the decision-maker and the AVe expert acting as his adviser. The latter brings an appropriate external view. Each one plays their part.
A range of tools at the AVe expert’s disposal
At AVe association level, starting from their own diversified experience, experts who carry out development projects devised a range of tools. The AVe expert can choose among them the suitable one or ones.
Without going into much detail, we can mention the following elements:
- Business plan which describes the project as a whole with details of the technical side (production system implemented), the investment program and its financing, the cost-benefit during the initial operation years, the impacts of the project...
- Diagnostic tools of the initial situation
- Management tools proposed according to problems to solve
- Road maps giving indications on steps to take
